Up to a foot of snow is expected in ski areas across Minnesota between Thursday night and Sunday morning.
When combined with comfortable temperatures, it could be a great weekend at your hill.

The system begins this afternoon (Thursday) where snow will begin to fall, accumulating up to 6″ or 7″ by Friday morning. The totals on the first wave of snow aren’t as concrete, so you might just want to let that layer settle.
Starting Saturday morning, the snow will fall again, accumulating a few inches during the day from Southern Minnesota all the way up to Lutsen. Overnight Saturday are where the real totals will pile up.
Between 4″ and 9″ are expected for Sunday morning, with the storm track favoring Wild Mountain and Trollhaugen according to OpenSnow’s projections as of Thursday morning.
Making the weekend even more attractive for riders are the temperatures. With temperatures in the upper 20s and lower 30s, it won’t be blower powder, but it will be a really nice day on your hill, with sun expected to make an appearance as well.
